Maternal Mental Health
FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Question: Is the funding intended solely for moms who keep their children (under 24 months) in their care or is funding also for moms who may need to give children (under 24 months) to a family member or the custody of the state due to her depression/mental illness?
Answer: There is no restriction on moms having physical custody of their children. I would imagine a mom might need services who lost a child whether while pregnant or after birth.
- Question: I am a for profit business looking to partner with a non-profit agency. How should I go about this?
Answer: MCFHC has sent an email to all organizations that expressed interest in the Concept Paper asking them to let us know if they were interested in partnering. Once this information is received it will be posted on

- Question: I am confused regarding the funding amounts. Is there $300,000 available for one organization? What if more than one organization submits a large amount project, in excess of $100,000?
Answer: Average funding is expected to range from $10,000 - $50,000 per grant per year, with the potential of one or more grants at a higher amount. Projects that are new to a provider may not request more than $100,000 per year. Maximum amount available per year for this funding opportunity is approximately $300,000. Only one grant per organization will be accepted.
